Rifles Descriptions
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
Ruger No. 1 1365
RUGER No. 1? .45-70 Gov't Shooters have been asking for an upgraded Ruger Number 1 rifle chambered in 45-70 for a long time. To tame the heavy loads this platform is capable of, we made sure this rifle featured a longer barrel and a little more weight. Lipsey's has teamed up with Ruger to bring you a very limited run of this highly requested model.? The Ruger Number 1 chambered in 45-70 has been a steady selling rifle for Ruger since it was first introduced. The "S" contour 22" barrel of the standard model provides for a great handling, lightweight, hard-hitting big game rifle that can be loaded?to a level approaching the 458 Win Mag. Many shooters lamented the shorter barrel from the beginning though, wanting a longer?version similar to the classic "Buffalo Rifles" of the Old West. The?longer barrel would also increase the weight and help cut?down the recoil of the heavy handloads many use in?this extremely strong action. Recoil from?400gr. bullets going 2000+ fps. can get a little?brisk out of a 7.25 lbs. rifle. As a bonus to this limited run, Ruger stocked these rifles with great looking Grade 1?Circassion Walnut. If you've been wanting a Number 1 in 45-70, but never liked the looks or feel of the short 22" barrel, this is your chance to get the rifle you always wanted.
