Rifles Descriptions

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

Remington 700 APR

The Remington Model 700 African Plains Rifle (APR) combines beauty and performance. It is the perfect choice wherever the game is large and the range long. And with its 26-inch long barrel this rifle maximizes the ballistic performance of its flat-shooting, hard-hitting magnum calibers. The Model 700 APR starts with the world's strongest bolt action design. Unlike Mauser-type bolt actions, there's no ejector cut to weaken the bolt. And the extractor assembly cannot override the cartridge and jam. Instead, all Model 700 rifles feature a bolt mechanism that's stronger by design. An unbroken wall of steel encircles the bolt face, supporting the extractor and making it grip the cartridge head tighter as pressure increases. The bolt, barrel, and receiver surround the cartridge with three rings of solid steel for maximum strength.
