Rifles Descriptions

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

Pieper Henri The Pieper Rifle

Henri Pieper was making falling block Peabody-Martini type action, single-shot rifles in Liege, Belgium in several calibers like 22 WCF, 32 WCF, 44 WCF or 38-40. However, the 32 WCF and 44 WCF represent Henri Pieper's attempt to capture a wider export market. British colonies like Australia were already importing Winchester rifles. Win '92s were common in Australia so it was sensible to be chambering his rifles in cartridges that colonials would use. Perhaps he even had hopes of gaining a small foothold in the US market. The Pieper Rifles were made with an octagonal or round barrel. Henri Pieper will died in August 23, 1898, at 57 years of age.
