The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

RECEIVER: Carved from a solid block of special steel. BARRELS: Böhler steel, chapper-lump barrels. LOCKING DEVICE: Double Purdey type. ACTION: A&D type. EJECTORS: Automatic ejectors with wide ejector/cartridge contact surface. Special patented Perugini-Visini system for rimless cartridges. SIGHTS: Bead on matte ramp front, folding leaf rear (50-100 m) on rib. STOCK: European select walnut; fine checkering. FINISHING: Finely engraved or with gold thread fitted around the color-cased receiver; oil finished walnut; English style hell-plate; inserted firing-pin carrier sleeve. CALIBERS: All calibers (included 375 H&H, 458 Win. Mag and other traditional "express" calibers.). OPTIONAL FEATURES: set front trigger; automatic safety; shotgun barrels, cal.20 (2 374" - 3"); dovetailed scope mounting with hook-in base; stock with special features.
