The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

RECEIVER: Carved from a solid block of special steel. BARREL: Böhler steel. LOCKING DEVICE: Special patented Perugini-Visini type, "on inclined planes" with overdimensioned latch. ACTION: P & V. SIGHTS: With sights/without sights and with base for scope mount. TRIGGER: Adjustable set trigger. STOCK: European select walnut; oil finished; finely hand checkered. FINISHING: Fine engraving with gold thread fitted around the color cased receiver and muzzle; English style heel-plate; quick-release sling swivels. OPTIONAL FEATURES: Other calibers; shotgun barrels, cal 20 or 410 (2 3/4" - 3"); Pivot scope mounting; dovetailed scope mounting with hook-in base; single trigger with adjustable release; special engravings; stock with special features. All our barrels and receivers are given radiographic inspection for maximum reliability of materials.
