The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

<p><strong>Barrel: </strong>Machined from 416R Stainless Steel, chambered in .308 WIN with a 1/10 twist rate, mid-length gas, and nitride treated for accuracy and durability. Upper has a front sight post gas block, Classic Midlength Handguard, and an A2-style muzzle device.</p> <p><span><strong>Upper:</strong> Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, then Black anodize hardcoated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2. </span></p> <p><span><strong>Bolt Carrier Group:</strong> 9310 steel bolt assembly, nitride treated for durability. 8620 carrier, nitride treated, with a nitride treated gas key properly staked with grade 8 fasteners. Charging handle is also included.</span></p> <p><span><strong>Lower: </strong>Precision machined from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, these lowers are then Black anodize hardcoated to MIL-8625 Type 3 class 2. With an AR-15 style fire control group, and Classic M4 Stock, and classic A2 grip, the PSA PA10 allows the same configuration flexibility as enjoyed by the AR15, and is an ideal platform for the 308 cartridge. </span></p>
