The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

OVER AND UNDER SHOTGUN/RIFLE COMBINATION WITH DOUBLE LOCK Double lock system with manual cocking, free-floating rifle barrel and steelshot proofing are the characteristics of the new Merkel B3 BBF shotgun/rifle combination. For good reasons the proven 12 ga caliber is the first choice for this popular o/u combination. The modern concept of the B3 BBF brings together all advantages of this universal type of hunting gun. * Locking mechanism: The manual cocking system with two locks allows the B3 to be -decocked and safely carried. The top sear levers and safety catch -levers provide added safety. The gun is automatically decocked when the breech is opened. This makes it possible to quickly reload and recock the rifle. B3 BBF ‘Standard’ model: Breech: Very rugged Jäger tilted block breech. Breech block can be -removed without using any tools. Barrel set: Free-floating rifle barrel for superb accuracy and excellent heat dissipation. Shotgun barrel with steelshot-proofing. B3 BBF ‘Premium’ model: Trigger: Double trigger with front set trigger. Scope mount: Designed to accept the SAM (Suhl tilt up mount).
