Rifles Descriptions
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
Mauser Jagdwaffen M 98 Elephant
Rigby III Magazine floor plate, bringing the magazine capacity of this impressive caliber to 4+1. Extra thick barrel with elegant barrel quarter rib and barrel band. To many professional and sporting hunters the Mauser M 98 Magnum is considered as the ultimate big game rifle. Big, tough and reliable this classic design epitomizes the grand African ideal and the M 98 Magnum Mod. "Elephant" is the latest addition to this noble heritage. Mauser once again have created a true masterpiece; proving that the M 98 Magnum is very much alive and a viable option today, even in the face of more modern designs. The M 98 Magnum "Elephant" came into being thanks to the cooperation of two master engravers. Arabesque variations and African acacia thorns frame the legends – "Original Mauser" on the pistol grip cap and "Mod. Elephant" on the barrel quarter rib. The mighty and magnificent animal that gives this rifle its unique name can be found onthe magazine floor plate. Here, the horizon is entirely inlaid in gold and throws the Elephant in the foreground into sharp relief and truly captures the fascination of Africa. Eva Rausch is the artist behind the gold inlaid writing. The animal portrait, as well as the ornamentation are the work of master engraver, Hendrik Frühauf. The action rests in a grade 10 Stock with a Rigby cheek piece.
