Rifles Descriptions

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

LWRC International REPR Designated Marksman

The LWRC REPR (Rapid Engagement Precision Rifle) is a semi-automatic weapon suitable for both paramilitary/LE and civilian use, as a patrol or designated marksman rifle, or sporting weapon for target shooting and hunting medium game. It is produced by LWRC International, in a number of versions which differ by barrel length and profile and furniture, and is apparently in use by several LE agencies in USA and elsewhere. Expected accuracy with proper ammunition and in long-barrel configuration should be close to 1 MOA. The LWRC REPR is semi-automatic, gas operated weapon with rotary bolt locking. It is based on AR-10/AR-15 concept, but is heavily modified. Most important changes include adoption of the self-adjustable short-stroke gas piston instead of the direct gas impingement system, and charging handle, located on the left side of the flat-top receiver. It must be noted that LWRC REPR upper and lower receivers are of proprietary design and not compatible with .308 caliber receivers of any other manufacturer. Gun is fed using SR25/DPMS-compatible .308 magazines. Depending on the version, furniture may include M4-style telescoping buttstock on 12” and 16”-barreled versions, or adjustable Magpul UBR or PRS shoulder stock on longer barrel versions. Tubular handguard has mounting points for installation of optional Picatinny rails. Standard sighting equipment includes folding BIUS (back-up Iron sights), and user may install almost any type of optical sight using integral Picatinny rail at the top of the reciver and appropriate mountings.
