The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston

Lwrc Improved Carbine Enhanced Models The IC Enhanced rifle uses our Cold Hammer Forged barrels that are spiral fluted to reduce weight. They include a two position gas block, with a bayonet lug, that can be switched between suppressed and non-suppressed modes. This feature enables the user to restrict the gas flow to the piston system, allowing the rifle to run smoothly and compensate for the added back pressure resulting from running a suppressor. We complete the upper with our modular rail in a nine inch length. This handguard utilizes individual rail sections that allow the owner to place accessory rails where they are needed while retaining the slick, low profile nature of the rest of the handguard.
