The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
Bushmaster M4 Patrolman
As one of Bushmaster's most popular models, the M4 Patrolman Carbine Semiautomatic Rifle proves to be more than a one-trick carbine. It's versatility stretches everywhere from 3-gun match shooting, to home defense and law-enforcement use. The 16" barrel has a threaded A2 birdcage flash suppressor. Chrome lining on the bore and chamber promote ease of cleaning and longevity. Mil-spec manganese phosphate outer coating protects the barrel and critical steel components from corrosion and rust. The A3 upper receiver features a Picatinny rail, a removable carry handle and a 300-600 meter rear sight system with 1/2-MOA elevation and windage adjustments. Six-position telescopic stock adjusts to fit most shooters. Rifle includes a 30-round magazine, operator safety manual, chamber flag and sling.
