Rifles Descriptions
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
Bushmaster M16 A2A3 Type Rifle
Upper Receivers available in A2 or A3 Configurations – A2 Upper Receiver has a 300 – 800 meter rear sight system (with 1 M.o.A. Elevation and 1 M.o.A. Windage adjustments). A3 Upper Receiver has a 300 – 600 meter rear sight system (with 1 M.o.A. Elevation and Windage adjustments). The A3 “Flat-top” Upper Receiver incorporates a Picatinny configuration mounting rail allowing easy attachment of most accessory sights, scopes, or optic devices. Bushmaster M16 A2/A3 Rifles feature a narrow profile A2 Government type barrel(.670" diam. to .610 diam. under the handguards – accepts the M203 Grenade Launcher) for reduced weight. Barrels are Hard Chrome lined in both Bore and Chamber to aid in removing powder residue and copper fouling, to increase muzzle velocity, and ease chambering and extraction – effectively doubling barrel life if regular maintenance procedures are observed. An A2 “Birdcage” type Flash Suppressor with closed bottom is fitted to compensate for muzzle climb and reduce dust signature when firing from the prone position. The barrel, and all critical steel components of the rifle, are manganese phosphate coated for protection against corrosion and rust. Pistol Grip and Buttstock are molded of thermoset composite – buttstock features a storage compartment for small parts or cleaning gear. Shipped with Operator’s Safety Manual, 30 Round Magazine, Orange Safety Block and Black Web Sling.
