KRICO 902 Special-Match
A sporting rifle, especially developed for big bore target shooters. This high tech aluminium stock was developed in close cooperation with the (top shooter) multiple German champion of various big bore disciplines of the BDS and BDMP, Michael Fischer. The conception of a totally dismountable rifle made it possible to realise certain features, that turns the model 902 Special Match into a unique, independent sporting rifle. Contained in the totally dismountable forend are six positions for balance weights. A carrier rod in the stock allows the installation of additional weights in order to achieve optimum individual balance. This feature is not only of interest to top level target shooters, to adjust balance and weight of the rifle to personal and discipline requirements, but is also perfect for benchrest shooting. In this case a heavy rifle proves advantageous, as the movements of the shooter are transmitted only insignificantly. With this in mind for benchrest shooting , the shooter has to increase the weight of the rifle to the maximum permissible, in order to take advantage of his personal potential. The versatility of this rifle takes into consideration the variations in regulations of the various associations, and allows in next to no time, by using additionally available weights, adjustment of the total weight. The forend can easily be taken apart and has a built-in grooved rail, for the fastening of a bipod and/or a handstop. The moulded pistol grip is available as "Ideal" grip for right hand shooters and as "Universal" grip for right and left handed shooters. From prone position to benchrest shooting the head position differs significantly, therefore the cheek piece can be mounted in various positions on the aluminium construction. The cheek piece can as well be used by right- and left handed persons, and is converted in next to no time. The cheek piece can be brought closer to the shooter by using spacers. The repeating function is maintained at any level. The installation of a spirit level in the stock, to prevent canting, is optional. With model 902 Special Match special emphasis was placed on straightforward and fast adaptation to the shooter. For horizontal adjustment of the stock the rifle is fitted with a butt plate mounted on 2 columns, which can be itself adjusted further. This construction enables adjustment in 7.5mm increments. This lightning like adaptation allows the rifle to be used by several shooters and is therefore ideally suited to shooting clubs. The multipurpose rear sight rail also serves as mount for telescopic sights. It allows to exchange the rear sight with a telescopic sight - and vice versa.
