Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. The Winchester Super X3 Composite shotgun is the model preferred by many hunters because of its tough stock and forearm, and trim dimensions that feel and balance perfectly in your hands. Dura-Touch Armor Coating provides a sure grip during wet weather conditions. A gunmetal gray Perma-Cote UT (Ultra Tough) surface finish is applied to external metal surfaces for extreme corrosion protection, while the bolt is plated with electroless nickel for reduced friction and added corrosion resistance. A weight-saving alloy magazine tube and recoil spring system, slim barrel with a machined rib, and an alloy receiver contribute to the svelte 7 pound weight. The self-adjusting Active Valve gas system and proprietary next generation Inflex Technology recoil pad reduce felt recoil as much as 50% over that of inertia-operated autoloaders for faster follow-up shots and prolonged shooting comfort. Proven .742" Back-Bored Technology works with the Invector-Plus choke tube system to provide consistent, dense patterns.
