Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. These defense-style shotguns offer the same high performance function and reliability as all other Escort models, with features that have been designed for speed and function. The stock has been designed with a vertical pistol grip for better control, and an extended slide forend with upper and lower Picatinny rails to provide a solid grip and reliable function from a variety of shooting positions. The stock also has a built-in shell holder that carries two extra rounds. Pistol Grip has cushioned inserts. Sights have been designed for quick target acquisition, using an adjustable fiber optic front sight in an elevated housing, and a ghost ring rear sight that is fully adjustable.
