Shotguns Descriptions

Browning Silver Hunter

The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. The low recoiling Browning Silver Hunter Matte Semi-Auto Shotgun allows for fast follow-up shots and all-day shooting comfort on the clays range or wing shooting.Lightweight and fast handling2-tone silver/black receiverBlued barrelTurkish walnut stockVentilated recoil padActive Valve gas systemCycles 2-3/4" and 3" shellsVent rib and brass front beadInvector-Plus choke tubesBack bored barrel

Hopkins & Allen 716SSS30"

The Model 716 was the the most produced shotgun from Hopkins & Allen Arms Co. It was a 16 gauge single shot shotgun with an outside hammer and full choke barrel. Automatic ejectors automatically eject 2 5/8 or 2 3/4 12 gauge shells upon opening and make it possible to reload fast. The rebounding action of the hammer provides a safeguard against accidental discharge. It was easy to remove the barrel on this take down shotgun. Just take off the forend, swing aside the top lever and remove the barrel. The Model 716 was first featured in their 1902 catalog with a price of $5.50 for the 30 and 32 inch barrel versions, $6 for the 34 inch barrel and $6.50 for the 36 inch barrel version.
