Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. The XLR5 model is an innovative shotgun extremely robust, perfectly stable and accurate like no other. Its TRIBORE HP barrel allows to reach longer distances. This barrel is composed of an 18.8 mm bore with a 5 mm cylindrical area, a 205 mm conical area that progressively reduces the bore to 18.4 mm. HP chokes are much longer than our competition because they use an internal hyperbolic profile instead of a straight cone.
