E.J.Churchill Premier

The finest of all the Churchill guns was the ‘Premiere’ which exhibited all of the qualities expected of the highest grade English sporting gun – style, grace, balance, durability and innovation. These qualities were no more obvious than in the manufacture of the pinless sidelock, which provided a firing mechanism impervious to the weather, whilst allowing the engraver an uninterrupted surface to indulge his art. Today E.J.Churchill Gunmakers still upholds these qualities throughout its range of the very best hand built guns. The ‘Premiere’ over and under is the supreme example of classic English gunmaking. Available with square or round bodied action, its graceful proportions, superb balance and exquisite finish make this gun the first choice for the most discerning game shot. The ‘Premiere’ over and under blends the practical benefits of a single sight plane with the elegant lines of a classic game gun. Both the square and round bodied action versions incorporate innovations such as replaceable trunnions, improved single trigger and enhanced ejectors. These guns are entirely bespoke so specification can be discussed with the client.
