This rifle features a fine low-luster bluing on the barrel and receiver with a satin-finished walnut stock. It also bears the logo of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on the grip cap. This is a tribute to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a percentage of sales from this rifle goes to help support habitat, range, health and studies of elk throughout the United States.

Its contemporary design offers shooters and hunters the option to shoot standard and magnum calibers from a semi-auto platform without spending thousands of dollars on heavily modified modern sporting rifle design. The BAR is built around a steel hammer-forged barrel, gas piston design that mitigates shooter-perceived recoil and reduces excessive carbon residue, and Aircraft-grade alloy receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It utilizes a multi-lug rotary bolt, detachable box magazine, composite trigger guard and floorplate, and a crossbolt safety. The stock is made of a composite material with a matte black finish, overmolded gripping panels, and features sling swivel stud for bi-pod, QD swivel cups, and swivels that are included.
