Rifles Descriptions
223 Rem - 55 Grain Barnes TSX - Federal - 20 Rounds
This 223 Rem round by Federal features Barnes’ 55 grain TSX (Triple Shock X) projectile. Its Utahn creator’s most popular hunting bullet, the TSX is made entirely of copper to greatly reduce bore fouling and comply with California’s lead ammunition ban. The monolithic TSX further renders the problem of core/jacket separation totally irrelevant, so your shot will retain up to 100 percent of its weight as it deeply penetrates a target. The TSX features a deep hollow point, enabling it to expand devastatingly as it burrows through hog and buck alike. It’s a plenty accurate bullet as well thanks to its long and glossy body, four pressure relieving grooves encircling its shank, and gently tapered base. The TSX’s superior accuracy and terminal performance are complemented well by Federal’s contributions to this round. Their brass casing evenly seats the bullet so that it can issue straight from the muzzle, and their clean burning propellant has been carefully loaded to deliver a fast and consistent 3,200 fps muzzle velocity.
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
