This shell is loaded to a scorching muzzle velocity of 1,550 fps, which is exactly what steel shot needs in order to leave its mark on waterfowl way, way downrange. This shell is 3” long so it can still hold a full 7/8 ounce column of lighter steel shot. The little pellets aren’t just nontoxic – they’re also perfectly spherical and totally smooth to promote denser patterns and retain more lethal energy at any point throughout their effective range. A Speed-Shok shell achieves its dizzying muzzle velocity with the aid of its fast burning powder, which is formulated to burn away without leaving behind excessive residue. Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns.
