The AirForce Texan received an update in 2017, when AirForce introduced a sound suppressed (SS) variant, the TexanSS. The TexanSS kept the same power and style that users liked about the Texan, while drastically diminishing the report with their patented Sound-Loc® suppressor technology. And now for 2018, AirForce has done it again by introducing the latest variant in their lineup at SHOT Show , the Texan Carbine. AirForce has further streamlined their Texan into a highly nimble PCP that doesnt shed powerthe AirForce Texan Carbine. The Carbine shaves a full 6 inches off the original Texan, and drops the weight by nearly a full pound to 7.5lbs., which allows for maximum maneuverability while out in the field. The 490cc air cylinder is capable of lobbing rounds downrange at velocities of up to 930 fps in .45 caliber and 1,000 fps in the .357 caliber. That kind of muzzle energy equates to an astounding 350 and 400 FPE in each respective caliber. The Texan Carbine features adjustable power, to tune your rifle for the specific ammo being used, an adjustable buttpad, and 2-stage trigger that can be set as low as 2.06 lbs. With the 11mm rails that are machined into the top and bottom of the barrel shroud, one can mount just about any accessory you want. As with all AirForce guns, the scope rail is an 11mm dovetail, but AirForce has their own dovetail to weaver adapter that can be purchased separately.

Texan Carbine
The Carbine can be shot without ear protection. At .45 caliber, it is a devastating air gun that can most likely be used for predator hunting. I wish they made a repeater version of this gun.
