The G17 Gen5 features a no finger grooved, multiple backstrapped, rough textured frame with hundreds of miniature spikes which results in remarkable traction for extreme environments and gloved operators. The magazine comes with a floor plate which is extended at the front for faster magazine change, and a orange follower, while the flared mag-well makes it easier to funnel the magazine into the mag-well. Aegis Elite Family The Aegis Elite family is a revival of the Aegis line (discontinued at the end of 2016). Unlike the older Aegis models that were only chambered in 9mm, the Aegis Elite family comes in both .45 ACP and 9mm. The Aegis Elite family features fiber optic front sights, G10 grips and a new pattern of cocking serrations. The Aegis Elte Pro and Aegis Elite Custom both have a rounded heel / mainspring housing. Both the Pro and Custom models also come in a variant with a pre-mounted Vortex Venom mini red dot sight.
