About The .22 Remington Jet Ammo, also known as the .22 Jet, is a .22 Caliber American centrefire rifle and revolver bullet. It was designed through a joint operation in late 1961 in the United States. The .22 Remington Jet Ammo was a bottlenecked cartridge that was based on the design and blueprint of the .357 Magnum Ammo. It was necked down to meet the requirements of .22 Caliber Ammo with an unusually long tapered shoulder. By the year 1972, Model 53 was the only revolver that was chambered for the .22 Remington Jet Ammo. No cylinder gap and no case setback allowed the .22 Remington Jet Ammo to achieve its true potential. This bullet was suitable for hunting and made a T/C Contender. Manufacturer The .22 Remington Jet Ammo was designed when Remington and Smith & Wesson undertook a joint venture in late 1961. Uses Due to specifications and performance, the .22 Remington Jet Ammo was used in T/C Contender. It also made a good choice for hunters when they were trying to take down varmints and medium-sized games in the range of 100 yards.
