Handguns Descriptions
32 Long Colt
About The .32 Long Colt Ammo, .also known as the .32 LC Ammo, is an American centerfire revolver cartridge designed in 1873 in the United States. The .32 Long Colt Ammo has mainly inspired the 320 Revolver Ammo and was intended to introduce the New Line of Revolvers. The .32 Long Colt Ammo initially used .313 in-diameter 90-grain heeled bullet lubricated on the outside but later converted to inside lubrication, which changed the bullet diameter to .299. This modification decreased the length of the weight of the cartridge. The .32 Long Colt Ammo is in the same category in terms of power as the .32 Smith & Wesson Long Ammo without comparable accuracy. However, due to the casings and bullet diameter difference, the .32 Long Colt Ammo and the .32 S&W Long Ammo are not interchangeable. The .32 Long Colt Ammo has an overall length of 32mm, and the bullet diameter measures 7.9mm. The 80-grain bullet variant of the .32 Long Colt Ammo can travel at a velocity of 840 feet per second while creating an energy level of 126 ft.lbf. Manufacturer The .32 Long Colt Ammo was designed and manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing LLC in 1873. Uses The .32 Long Colt Ammo has been used widely for self-defense purposes in short ranges and is also used by law enforcement in countries where high caliber Ammo is restricted.
