Weatherby Mark V Backcountry LH

Developed in conjunction with the Backcountry Ti, this model carries many of the same innovative technologies including a carbon fiber stock, 3D HEX recoil reducer, TriggerTech Trigger, and Accubrake ST. Implementing the 6.5 WBY RPM, the Backcountry weighs in at a mere 5.3 pounds built on a 6-Lug receiver. Mark V Rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99” or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition. TRIGGERTECH Field Trigger provides a true zero-creep break, extremely short over-travel, and is externally adjustable from 2.5-5 lbs. Stainless steel corrosion resistant components ensure consistent trigger pulls from shot to shot. 54 degree bolt lift is the shortest in the industry and allows for faster chambering on follow-up shots and great bolt-to-scope clearance The Accubrake ST slimline muzzle brake uses standard suppressor compatible threads. It significantly reduces felt recoil by up to 53% and comes with a flush fitting thread protector. Carbon Fiber Stock. AG Composites proprietary carbon fiber manufacturing process provides excellent stiffness and lightweight attributes. The patent pending 3DHEX Recoil Pad is less than half the weight of a traditional recoil pad and dissipates recoil to tame magnum cartridges. It utilizes a high strength lattice structure which has been engineered to distribute directional forces and diminish muzzle lift.
