Rheinmetall MG 15
The Maschinengewehr 15 or MG 15 (Machine Gun 15) was a German Army general purpose machine gun in 30's and replaced in late 1940's. It was designed in 1920's by Theodor Bergmann, manufactured by Rheinmetall who made over 17,000 of them. It was used by Nazi Germany and Imperial Japanese Army. The World War II MG 1(Flugzeugmaschinengewehr MG 15) was used in nearly all Luftwaffe aircraft with a flexible-mount defensive position. The MG 15 fires from an open bolt, meaning that the bolt stays back when the gun is ready to fire.
