Marlin Firearms Glenfield Model 25
The Marlin Firearms Company manufactured Glenfield model 25 bolt action rimfire rifle from 1975 to 1982. The Glenfield name was added for sales to coast-to-coast chain-stores versus stores that were specific Marlin dealer stores. The Glenfield model 25 was introduced as the economical version of Marlin's model 780 rimfire rifle that was manufactured from 1971 to 1988. Differences between the Marlin and Glenfied were purely cosmestic i.e. Glenfield has birch stock instead of Model 780 walnut stock. The model 25 was produced for only a few years when the Glenfield name was discontinued in 1982. The rifle continued as the Marlin Model 25 until 2003, which then became the Marlin 925.
