Bushmaster Var24 ATACS
Features a fluted 24 inch chrome-moly steel extra-heavy varmint barrel (one inch diameter out to gas block) and eleven degree competition muzzle crown. Coated bore and chamber. One in nine inch twist free-floated with a vented aluminum fore-end. Two-stage competition trigger (3.5 pound takeup, 1 pound letoff). Ships with manual and 5 round magazine. Covered in A-TACS camouflage finish.
ST Engineering SAR 21 STANDARD
Built on a bullpup design with extensive use of high strength engineering plastics and composites, the 5.56 calibre gas-operated SAR21 is 20% shorter, more compact and lighter in weight compared to an equivalent M-16. This allows the rifle to be operated easily in tight space situations. In addition, the recoil mechanism design allows for low recoil and better controllability during firing. The SAR21's integrated 1.5X Optical Scope minimises the need for zeroing to suit different users while enabling quick and accurate aiming. The optical scope optimises field of view and magnification so that targets can be engaged more quickly and easily than with an iron sight. The operational performance of the optical scope is ensured by mounting it inside a secure housing that is integral with the barrel assembly. For low light conditions, a built-in Laser Aiming Device (LAD) using either infrared or visible red dot, offers instant target acquisition. In addition, the open sight located above the optical scope provides a backup combat sight for the soldier. For added protection, the SAR21 has patented safety features like a high pressure vent hole at the barrel extension and a composite plate at the cheek rest. Both features prevent the user from sustaining serious injuries in the unlikely event of a chamber explosion - the vent hole provides an outlet to release high pressure gases while the composite plate shields the user from the explosion.
