Quackenbush, H.M. Junior Safety Rifle 22Short

The Quackenbush Junior Safety Rifle is .22 rimfire, single-shot, side-swing action rifle that was made from 1890 to 1920. The total production on this model was about 7000. The original price was just $3.60. It features a side swinging breech block and a heavy fixed wire stock. Loading the single-shot design is accomplished by swinging the breech to the right and inserting a cartridge into the chamber. Pushing the breech closed and pulling back on the cocking lever readies the rifle for firing.
