The PolyTech AK-47S is a gas operated, magazine fed, semi-automatic rifle. It is a civilian version of the Soviet designed AK-47 assault rifle. The PolyTech AK-47S i a near-exact copy of the AK-47 (Third model). Its' receiver is of the forged and machined type rather than the stamped and riveted type. It was mad in China and imported in the USA in 1988 and 1989. original price in 1988 was $550. The import of this rifle was banned in 1989 by the Bush ban following the mass murder in Stockton, California. The PolyTech AK-47S was made and imported in the USA with solid fixed wooden stock and with metal underfolding and sidefolding stocks. Pre-ban models in the USA are today very valuable. Standard accessories were: 3 30-rounds magazine, bayonet with scabbard, sling, oil bottle, cleaning rod, bore brush, patch holder and combination tool.
