Bushmaster Var24 ATACS

Features a fluted 24 inch chrome-moly steel extra-heavy varmint barrel (one inch diameter out to gas block) and eleven degree competition muzzle crown. Coated bore and chamber. One in nine inch twist free-floated with a vented aluminum fore-end. Two-stage competition trigger (3.5 pound takeup, 1 pound letoff). Ships with manual and 5 round magazine. Covered in A-TACS camouflage finish.

Middle barrel is in 8 x 75 RS, two outside barrels are in 470 Nitro Express caliber. System Holland&Holland sidelocks for both outside barrels, Boxlock Blitz with abovelying click for the centerbarrel. Fronttrigger is also to use as a settrigger for the centerbarrel, backtrigger as a singletrigger for the both outside barrels. The big advantage of this barrelconfiguration is the efficiency of the groups. Something special is the centerbarrel, because also in spite of warming up after some shots, the precision will be the same. This fact is caused by the consistant support of both outside barrels(see also group). This special barrelconfiguration is unique in the world and only manufactured by Karl Hauptmann, Ferlach-Austria. Triple-barrelled rifle belongs to the most valuable specialities of the classic craft of gun making - exclusively manufactured by Karl Hauptmann. Extraordinary precision from 3.5 kg (7.71 lbs) upward. Around 200 parts for the fast, third and possibly vital shot. Karl Kauptman workshop build bespoke guns for third generation in Ferlach, Austria. Most work still is done manually. Price is available upon request.
