Marlin Firearms 1894 (Antique) 32-40B
The original Marlin Model 1894 was made from 1894 to 1934 with a 24-inch round or octagonal barrel with original price of $19.50 for octagonal barrel model and $18.00 for round barrel model. For extra $1.00 per inch of the barrel the Model 1894 could be ordered with 26, 28, 30 and 32 inches barrel. The Model 1894 was chambered for a variety of pistol rounds such as 25-20 Winchester, 32-20 Winchester (32 WCF), 32-40 Ballard (32-40 Winchester) and 44-40 Winchester (44 WCF). Arround 250,000 of them were made in that time. The newer guns are marked "Model 94" and they have less value. Models with saddle ring and models with take-down stock are 20% more valuable today. This antique model should not be confused with modern Model 1894 that Marlin makes today.
