Marlin Firearms 1892 22LR-26"

The Marlin Model 1892 was designed by John Mahlon Marlin and manufactured from 1892 to 1916 by Marlin Firearms in New Heaven, CT. Around 45,000 of them were made in that time. The Model 1892 was an improved version of the Model 1891. The most important difference from the Model 1891 was the elimination of the lever-operating trigger safety device. In 1905, the name was changed from Model 1892 to Model 92. The Model 1892 was made for the .22 rimfire and the .32 rimfire ammo. The version for .32 rimfire ammo was shipped with an additional firing pin that could be installed without any tools instead of the original firing pin, then the .32 centerfire ammo could be used in the same rifle. The Model 1892 was made with round, octagonal or half octagon barrels in 24, 26 and 28 inches. The original price for the Model 1892 with a 24 inch octagonal barrel was $19.50. The rifle can be used in single shot mode. The round should just be inserted into the receiver when the action is open. Magazines on some rifles are 16 inches, and on some 24 inches.
