Dakota Arms 76 Traveler
The Dakota Model 76 Traveler takes down in two sections--the receiver/stock and barrel/fore-end--for compact carry in the included case. You can even add a second barrel from the same family of calibers for optimum versatility. For example, combine a 300 H&H with a 375 H&H or a 7mm Dakota with a 404 Dakota for the ultimate plains game and big-game combinations. The Traveler allows you to carry two different caliber/barrel combinations in a small, unobtrusive case that does not say "firearm" to prying eyes. The Traveler is available in a wide range of calibers and, like the Model 76, is offered in Classic, Safari and African grades. All feature controlled round feeding and positive extraction; the extractor, underneath the locking lug and positioned at the end of the bolt, opens fully to insure that the next round feeds smoothly. The three-position safety allows the bolt to be operated with the safety on. The one-piece trigger guard and hinged floorplate are machined from solid bar stock. Every Dakota 76 can be custom-tailored to your size and tastes, with a wide range of optional features available
