Maadi AKM 7.62X39MMS

The Maadi Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 54) in Egypt received a license, tooling and machinery from Soviet Russia to produce the AKM in 1971 and began production shortly afterwards initially using imported Russian parts. This Egyptian military factory is affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production. Military products include rifles, pistols, and machine guns. The Al Maadi Company for Engineering Industries produces a variety of light weapons, including the Egyptian version of the Soviet AK-47 assault rifle. The Maadi AKM is close copy of a Soviet AKM. They were imported in the U.S. by Century Arms International with thumbhole stocks, hard chrome-lined barrels and a hard chrome plated piston, double-roped springs and complete take down without tools. The ARM was semiautomatic version of AKM with 5-rounds detachable box magazine. Sight radius is 367 mm. Muzzle velocity 2256 ft/sec. Muzzle energy is 1480 ft/lb. Recoil energy is 4.6 ft/lb.
