Rifles Descriptions
7.62x51 - 147 Grain FMJ M80 - Armscor - 500 Rounds
This ain’t the kind of M80 you used to blow up your neighbor’s mailbox back when you were a kid. This is M80 ammo – loaded to U.S. Military specs by Armscor over in the Philippines and imported to the country that has the most need for it. Whether your rifle is chambered for 7.62x51 or 308 Win, it’s going to plow through this ball ammo just fine. Each round has a 147 grain FMJ projectile, with a hard jacket to keep the lead core from deforming while it feeds into the chamber of a semi-auto or while it is subjected to the severe pressure of ignition. We never recommend an FMJ bullet for hunting medium-sized game because it cannot expand. That said, so fast and heavy a bullet will polish off a varmint like no one’s business, and it’s without question useful for home defense with something like an AR-10, M1A or C308. Armscor loads a lot of ammo for export, and their components are popular for handloading as well. You can certainly plan on reloading this 7.62x51 ammo’s new brass cases (which were not polished following their manufacture – their grayness is solely cosmetic). Its Boxer primers won’t induce corrosion inside your rifle’s action or barrel.
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
