Rifles Descriptions

5.56x45MM - 62 Grain FMJ - M855 - GREENTIP XTAC - PMC - 600 Rounds in Battle Pack on Stripper Clips

Manufactured by the same company that supplies the South Korean military with 5.56 NATO ammo, these PMC X-TAC cartridges follow the M855 "ball" standard. The 62 grain full metal jacket bullet sports a distinctive steel 'green tip' and leaves the muzzle at around 3,100 feet per second, typical for M855 rounds. This 600-round case is perfect for high volume AR-15 shooters, although these rounds may work in .223 Remington firearms depending on the model (check with the manufacturer if unsure). The makers of this ammo, Poongsan, produce all of their own components and control the entire supply chain for maximum quality assurance. All PMC ammo uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases. M855 ball ammunition is similar to that currently in use by the US military and American allies around the world. Despite its steel-tip and 'penetrator' nickname, it has a lead core and is safe to use for most target and sporting applications. Due to its high penetration and non-expanding nature, it is not suitable for civilian self-defense purposes.

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
