Rifles Descriptions

5.56x45 - 55 Grain FMJ - Wolf Gold - 20 Rounds

We kind of wish we could legally change our name to “Wolf Gold.” There’s no way a guy named “Wolf Gold” wouldn’t have eight-pack abs and long, flowing hair. But we just printed new business cards and we don’t want to wait in line at the DMV. Wolf Gold is a great name for this great 5.56x45 ammunition, though. Many shooters will recognize Wolf’s name as synonymous with steel cased magnetic ammo, but their Gold label stands for exactly the opposite. Not only does this rifle round’s brass case grant cleaner performance and the option to handload afterward, but its steel-free bullet is acceptable at indoor ranges! This 5.56x45 round sports a 55 grain FMJ. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 3,250 fps, its recoil, point of aim, and ballistic performance will probably remind veteran shooters of the U.S. Military’s M193 ball cartridge. This is the bread and butter AR-15 cartridge, optimal for target practice and plinking when terminal expansion doesn’t matter all that much. This round’s Boxer primer makes handloading even more accessible, and it is non-corrosive to save the inside of a rifle from rust. Its consistent muzzle velocity is provided courtesy of its consistently loaded propellant, which is also clean burning!

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
