350 Legend - 180 Grain SP - Federal Power-Shok - 20 Rounds
This 350 Legend cartridge by Federal is great for hunting deer, but its price tag isn’t so burdensome that you’ll be afraid to practice with it as well! It’s a Power-Shok load, perfect for filling your bag limit without going so broke that you’ll need to pawn your fillings just to afford instant noodles. This round owes its deer toppling terminal performance to its soft point bullet. Nothing fancy, but plenty effective with a concentric copper jacket that assists with weight retention for great penetration. The SP bullet’s soft lead core makes up its flat nose, so it transfers decent energy right at the instant of impact followed by significant terminal expansion. And thanks to its 0.245 ballistic coefficient, this bullet maintains a relatively flat trajectory until it plows into its quarry with over 1,000 ft lbs of energy up to around 175 yards! A Power-Shok round’s brass case is reloadable, so you can bank on this its consistent dimensions and straight-as-a-whistle wall the first, second, and third time you fire it. Although some variation is inevitable, Federal does a good job matching a primer and propellant to produce a steady 2,100 fps muzzle velocity.
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
