Rifles Descriptions

308 - 168 Grain Gold Dot SP - Speer LE - 20 Rounds

These .308 Winchester rounds from Speer are a great choice for long range duty loads or self-defense with a battle rifle. As part of Speer's Law Enforcement lineup, this ammunition is constructed using the finest components including reloadable brass casings coated with nickel; this outer treatment smooths feeding, ensures reliable extraction, and resists corrosion in humid conditions. Each casing is fitted with a clean-igniting Boxer primer and filled with a consistent dose of low-flash powder which reduces blindness in low-light environments. The load is crowned with Speer's Gold Dot Soft Point (GDSP) projectile which weighs in at 168 grains in order to match the most common hunting and match options in the caliber. The GDSP is formed by bonding copper to a lead core via an electro-chemical process. A minimized, exposed lead tip promotes expansion during entry into a target without compromising dependable feeding in semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles. Upon impact, the bullet will begin to experience massive expansion which creates a large wound cavity in the threat. The bonded copper plating will resist separation, preserve necessary momentum, and produce the perfect balance between penetration and mushrooming in order to deliver devastating expansion to vital areas. Speer is an American company that shares a parent organization with CCI, Federal, and many other big names. Their lines of ammunition are highly respected among all shooters and known to support numerous law enforcement contracts.

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
