223 Rem - 64 Grain Extreme Point - Winchester Deer Season XP - 20 Rounds
This 223 Rem cartridge by Winchester is an optimal selection for deer season – hence its name. But all things considered, the same performance that makes this round great for hunting large, rugged animals would also suit it well for defense against threats in the 150 to 250 pound range. This round has a heavy bullet at 64 grains, which gives it greater momentum to resist wind drift and penetrate deeply. The Extreme Point’s true defining feature is its giant polymer tip, a complement to its ballistic profile that yields so consistently flat a trajectory. The polymer tip comprises nearly half of the Extreme Point’s frontal surface area, and its abnormally wide base conveys massive terminal expansion within soft tissue. This bullet’s tapered jacket and tough alloyed lead core respectively promote deep penetration and rapid energy transferral, helping the Extreme Point to do far more damage at 100 yards than its quadruple digit foot-pound force alone could account for. The Extreme Point performs reliably thanks to the precision drawn brass case, sensitive non-corrosive primer, and consistent charge of clean burning propellant Winchester outfits it with.
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
