223 Rem - 55 Grain Polymer Tip - Winchester Varmint X - 20 Rounds
This 223 Rem ammo will turn any AR-15 into the bane of bobcats, the punisher of prairie dogs, the reaper of raccoons, and the crusher of coyotes. That’s because when you shoot a varmint with a Winchester Varmint X cartridge, it becomes an ex-varmint! This varmint round’s 55 grain bullet is perfectly normal as far as its weight is concerned, so you won’t need a special barrel to stabilize it for accurate flight. Its black polymer tip does streamline the bullet so it can retain more of its velocity as it flies farther and farther downrange, and its flat base also contributes to its great accuracy. The bullet’s jacket is extremely thin around its mouth, and its core has a nose cavity. These two features enable the polymer tip to initiate fragmentation beginning immediately upon impact. It won’t produce the deep wound channel you’d want for deer hunting, but its explosive terminal ballistics are optimal for small and thin-skinned game. Brass-cased, reloadable, and made in the USA!
Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294
The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
