Rifles Descriptions

223 Rem - 55 Grain FMJBT - Federal American Eagle - 20 Rounds

This 223 Rem ammunition by Federal is military grade – but it is not military surplus. That means rather than sitting around in a musty warehouse for who knows how long it has been recently minted and shipped to our warehouse – where it won’t sit around for very long at all! American Eagle label ammo is one of American shooters’ favorite go-tos for target practice. As 223 Rem this ammo is ideal for AR-15 rifles, even if they are specifically designed to chamber 5.56x45. This round has a 55 grain bullet loaded to a 3,240 fps muzzle velocity. (Those are the two most common specs for a 223.) The bullet itself is none other than an FMJBT, with a simple lead core and gilding metal jacket for smooth, clean performance and a boat tail to help retain more velocity downrange. This round’s 0.269 ballistic coefficient lets it pack over 450 ft lbs of energy at 400 yards, which is still effective for personal protection even considering the FMJBT’s inability to expand. American Eagle is universally steel-free, so feel free to take this nonmagnetic ammo to any indoor range. It’s also non-corrosive, low residue, and brass cased – keep those valuable brass cases for future handloading!

Bushmaster Gas Piston 90294

The Bushmaster Gas Piston System Rifles bring new levels of reliability to the “AR” type rifle platform by eliminating carbon build up, gas leaks and heat within the Upper Receiver. The Gas Piston System operates by tapping gas pressure off the barrel much like the systems found on AK-47s and FALs * Functions with a wider range of ammunition - less gas pressure - lower cyclic rate * Offers improved reliability and control - with cleaner operation and reduced recoil * Keeps carbon build up and powder residue from reaching - and fouling the Upper Receiver and Bolt Carrier * A Detented Plug in the Gas Block allows easy cleaning of the Systems’ Hard Chrome Plated Piston
