You’re smart for keeping a 20 Gauge shotgun for home defense. But if you’re really smart, you’ll choose Remington’s Ultimate Defense ammo for the hallowed task of home defense. This shell is loaded with #3 buckshot pellets. They’re significantly smaller than 00 buck, so they pose a slightly lower chance of bursting through many sheets of drywall. But because they are smaller, this shell is able to store a whopping 17 pellets. Your shotgun will deliver a dense, deadly pattern that deals over a dozen serious injuries to its target on impact! This shell’s 1,140 fps muzzle velocity is peppery enough to give its shot column a combined muzzle energy of approximately 1,150 ft lbs, but it’s also slow enough to noticeably soften felt recoil. You’ll gain an even greater advantage as reduced muzzle flip facilitates accurate, rapid fire during a stressful altercation.
Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns.
