Sterling is a brand of Turaç, an ammo manufacturer based in Çankırı, Turkey. Don’t worry – we don’t know how to pronounce all those strange letters either. Good thing is all you need to know about this 12 Gauge ammo is that it’s poised to put some serious power wherever you decide it’s most needed. This shell is loaded with nine pellets of 00 buckshot. It delivers these 1/3” diameter lead balls out of the muzzle at nearly 1,300 fps, giving each enough momentum to deal crippling energy to deer as well as more threatening targets. Whether you’d employ this ammo for hunting or defending the old homestead, you shouldn’t find its stopping power or penetration wanting for a thing. Turaç gives each of their shotshells a hard brass-plated head for resilience against so much chamber pressure, a clear hull for easy identification, and a crystal upper wad that is designed to improve pattern density.
Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns.
