12 Gauge - 2-3/4" 1-1/4oz. HP Rifled Slug - Federal Power-Shok - 250 Rounds
Sometimes you want to absolutely pummel your target with a huge chunk of lead traveling at supersonic speed. For those times, you need no better friend than this 12 Gauge slug from Federal’s Power-Shok line of ammunition! This shell contains a 1 1/4 ounce rifled hollow point slug. Its rifling makes the slug an ideal choice for smoothbore shotguns, and also compatible with a variety of choke tubes. Its hollow point enables the pliant missile to fan out within game, rapidly dumping its considerable energy to knock its target off its hooves. How much energy? Well, with its blazing fast 1,520 fps muzzle velocity this slug manages to blindside its target with over 2,300 ft lbs of energy at 25 yards. At 125 yards that energy drops to just under 1,300 ft lbs, at which point it’s still extremely effective at felling whitetail. We don’t even have to suggest how effective a slug like this would prove at self-defense. This shell is also good for trap shooting if you are insane. Federal doesn’t underserve so potent a slug with weak supporting components. This shell’s roll crimped hull holds all its contents in place until the moment of truth, and its non-corrosive primer and fast burning propellant work as one to deliver reliable ballistic performance. Fill up a pumpkin with beef stew and then let it have it with one of these slugs – the result will speak for itself!
