KRICO 902 Light Safari Grade 1

Modular system safety bolt action rifle with upper tang safety. The modular system allows easy takedown. The bolt has 3 sturdy locking lugs, which engage into locking shoulders of the barrel. In the cocked position, the tail of the cocking piece extends out of the rear of the receiver. Sliding the safety button into the "safe" position releases the spring tension and disengages the firing pin. In this position the bolt is secured against accidental opening. After each repeating cycle the bolt action automatically cocks the firing mechanism. The open steel sights are adjustable and consist of buckhorn rear sight and front square blade sight. The detached two-piece stock with its MonteCarlo styled cheek piece, steel cap trimmed pistol grip and rounded for arm, is made from high quality "selected" walnut. The standard walnut side plates are easily interchangeable with engraved side plates. The receiver is pre-drilled and tapped for the mounting of telescopic sights. For maximum accuracy the barrels are rifled by using the cold pressed button-formed method. It is possible to change barrels and bolt face groups, while keeping the same locking bolt.
