Bolt Rifles Descriptions
Browning 1911-22 Compact
The Browning 1911-22 is scaled at 85% of the full-size 1911, especially developed for 22 LR ammo with controls that operate just as those in the original Browning-designed Model 1911. Straight blowback action offers enhanced simplicity and reliability while a polished feed ramp offers reliable feeding with all types of rimfire ammo. The compact model features a 3-5/8" stainless steel barrel which is target crowned for an overall length of 6.5". The aluminum frame is machined to exacting tolerances. Vertical serrations on the slide provide an improved cocking grip, and the manual slide release is easily operated with the shooting or support hand. It has a large manual thumb safety and grip safety. The 10-round steel magazine body is heat treated for long-term feeding reliability and long life with the magazine release positioned adjacent to the trigger guard for convenient operation.
Browning A-Bolt Hunter
This rifle features a raised cheekpiece or comb which you can see in the profile above. This helps to direct recoil into the shoulder area and get the shooter's line-of-sight lined quickly with the scope. This rifle features a fine low-luster bluing on the barrel and receiver with a satin-finished walnut stock. It also bears the logo of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on the grip cap. This is a tribute to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a percentage of sales from this rifle goes to help support habitat, range, health and studies of elk throughout the United States.
