This 300 Win Mag round’s 150 grain Extreme Point has a much larger polymer tip than average, taking up 48 percent of the bullet’s frontal surface area instead of the usual 22 percent. The tip’s proportionately wide base rests inside the bullet’s large hollow point nose cavity, enabling it to initiate lightning-fast expansion the instant it connects with its target. The Copper Extreme Point is tougher than a conventional lead core bullet, so it withstands the stress of high velocity penetration while losing a far lower percentage of its total weight. This preserves momentum needed for a wound channel deep enough to reach the vital area. The bullet’s polymer tip additionally streamlines its profile, which alongside its uniform weight distribution and boat tail promotes a flattened trajectory and greater energy throughout penetration. One in nine inch twist free-floated with a vented aluminum fore-end. Two-stage competition trigger (3.5 pound takeup, 1 pound letoff). Ships with manual and 5 round magazine.
